TAMA - Robotic Competition

Event registration is closed.

This event is exclusive for TAMA. In this event, students will build Soccer Bot Robot and compete to score maximum goals.


1)      Competition will involve building a Soccer Bot and competing against opponent teams to score goals (same as a soccer match).

2)      There will be a maximum of 18 Teams that can compete in this event. Each team will be comprised of 3 students to build the robot and compete. This competition will be limited to a max of 54 students. The respective Teams will pick one of their players to remote control the robot during the match.

3)      RoboThink will provide all the parts and materials to build the robot and operate it with a wired remote. Students are expected to come with a creative mind and sportsmanship to the event.

4)      A Sample Robot structure will be displayed for students to use as a reference and guide.

5)      Timings: The competition from start to end is expected to last 2 hours.

a. The first 10 Minutes will be an introduction to our Robots and the parts.

b. 40 minutes of building time will allocated for all the teams to build the robot.

c. At the end of 40 minutes, teams that have built the robot will qualify for the competition and move to Round 1.

6)      Each round will be limited to 2 minutes (The exact number of rounds will be determined once all students are pre-registered for the competition).

7)       The team that scores the maximum goals within 2 minutes wins and qualifies for the next round. In case of a tiebreaker, an additional 1 minute will be allocated. The team that scores the first goal in that additional minute, wins and qualifies for 2nd round. If there is no goal scored in that extra minute, then the team that puts the ball in the opponent's section of the field wins and qualifies for next round.

8)      Each round is an elimination round with no re-match.

9)      Prizes will be distributed to first, second, and third-place winners.

10)      Disqualification rules

a. Teams whose robot breaks down during the competition.

b. Team that breaks opponent’s teams robot.
c. Behaves in unsportsmanlike.
